featuring students of all ages
having fun in the marine environment,
and what it's like to study and work in Marine Science.

BMSC Youth Forums

The BMSC Public Education Program Youth Forums are a five-day immersion into marine sciences designed for high school students (grade 11 and 12) exploring career options or looking for a unique work experience placement.

Activities include field trips to our beautiful beaches, hands-on labs examining the incredible animal and seaweed diversity found in Barkley Sound, and workshops focusing on conservation and ecology.

This summer BMSC hosted the Marine Mammal and the Marine Research Techniques Youth Forums.

Last fall, the BMSC Public Education featured "Explore the Deep" Fall Youth Forum - Nov. 20 - 25, 2008: an opportunity to learn about ocean climate change, seabed chemistry and geology, diversity of deep sea ecosystems and much more. Keep posted for this fall's events!
