Intoductions The following is a summary of participant ratings and comments from a forum evaluation distributed on the last morning. The evaluation was anonymous.
“It was great to have a diversity of perspectives and people from different areas contributing to the discussions. The interview and open space were great, provided lots of great ideas of where to move forward.” “My only suggestion is to have arranged a common/reserved eating area for the forum delegates separate from the other group(s). The new dining room addition would have given some personal space and group cohesiveness to the meals at BMSC. This is a minor point. The salmon dinner was excellent at the House of Huu-ay-aht.” “Great space great place. BHCAP is inspiring. Very disappointed in behaviour of DFO staff. Coast Watch will work only if DFO is willing to frankly discuss broad issues related to community-based, ecosystem based marine stewardship.” “The forum was presented well. All individuals in the forum brought some positive inputes to our A.C.W. Forum. We need more unity with All COAST WATCHERS. Need to bring back the respect to all parties evolved.” “A good forum overall – very productive and informative. Need to establish ground rules of discussion conduct a little more – difficult but otherwise handled very well.” “Very educational; my first time here.
